we are looking for the logistic manager for our new plant of vilas Transcore ltd Job Title Logistics Manager Reports To Plant head Location Ganapatpura Taluka Karjan Position Summary The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire logistics and distribution operations within the manufacturing industry This includes managing the flow of materials and products from suppliers to the manufacturing plant and from the plant to customers The Logistics Manager ensures productive and cost-effective logistics operations while maintaining the highest levels of product quality safety and compliance Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field Master s preferred Proven experience typically 5 years as a Logistics Manager or similar role in the manufacturing industry Strong understanding of supply chain management inventory control transportation logistics and warehouse operations Experience in SAP is must Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Coordination Develop implement and manage logistics strategies to ensure efficient and timely delivery of raw materials to the manufacturing facility and finished goods to customers Coordinate and collaborate with suppliers vendors and internal teams to align production schedules with delivery timelines Optimize inventory management ensuring the right amount of stock is available to meet production demands without overstocking Transportation Management Oversee transportation logistics including selecting carriers negotiating contracts and managing transportation budgets Ensure the timely safe and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials including optimizing routes freight costs and delivery schedules Manage inbound and outbound shipments including the handling of freight claims and discrepancies Warehouse Management Oversee warehouse operations including the receipt storage and dispatch of goods Ensure that warehouses are organized safe and compliant with industry regulations Monitor and improve stock control systems to maintain inventory accuracy Logistics Strategy Optimization Analyze supply chain performance data and implement process improvements to reduce costs improve delivery times and enhance customer satisfaction Lead continuous improvement initiatives within logistics identifying inefficiencies and implementing new technologies and methods to streamline operations Develop and manage logistics budgets ensuring operations are cost-effective Team Leadership Development Supervise and manage logistics team members providing guidance training and support to ensure the team s success Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the logistics department Conduct performance reviews set goals and ensure ongoing staff development Compliance Documentation Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements including health and safety environmental standards and transportation regulations Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments inventory transportation and other logistics activities Customer Service Work closely with customer service teams to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any logistical issues or delays Manage customer expectations and provide updates regarding delivery statuses lead times and potential disruptions Reporting Analysis Monitor logistics KPIs e g on-time delivery transportation costs inventory turnover and provide regular reports to senior management Analyze performance trends and develop action plans to address any challenges or inefficiencies in the logistics process Job Type Full-time Pay 35 000 00 - 45 000 00 per month Work Location In person
