Job Summary Nalanda Vidya Niketan is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Western Dance Teacher to join our team The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various Western dance styles and a passion for teaching students at different skill levels As a Western Dance Teacher you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging dance lessons preparing students for performances and competitions and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment Key Responsibilities Design and implement a comprehensive Western dance curriculum for students of varying ages and skill levels Teach a variety of Western dance styles including but not limited to hip hop jazz contemporary and street dance Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity teamwork and discipline Develop and conduct dance routines for school performances competitions and special events Provide individualized feedback and coaching to help students improve their dance skills and reach their full potential Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to coordinate dance-related activities and events Maintain a safe and organized dance studio workplace ensuring compliance with school policies and safety regulations Keep records of student attendance progress and achievements Stay updated on current trends and techniques in Western dance to continuously improve teaching methods Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Dance Performing Arts or a related field or equivalent experience Proven experience as a Western Dance Teacher or Dance Instructor Proficiency in multiple Western dance styles with the ability to teach a variety of genres Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to inspire and motivate students Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment Desirable Qualities Experience in choreographing and directing dance performances Knowledge of child development and educational psychology Certifications in dance instruction or teaching methods Experience in competitive dance coaching or judging Application Process Interested candidates should submit their resume a cover letter detailing their teaching philosophy and dance experience and any relevant certifications or portfolio materials to the school s hiring committee Please include references from previous teaching or dance-related roles Nalanda Vidya Niketan is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and students We look forward to welcoming a dynamic Western Dance Teacher to our team
