Job Overview We are hiring an experienced Database Administrator DBA to manage and enhance the backbone of our healthcare technology platform This role demands a deep understanding of relational databases the ability to analyse and transform data and a strong focus on optimising data storage access and security A key part of this role includes handling data imports and migrations from external systems when onboarding new users and clients to our platform Key Responsibilities Database Architecture Optimisation Design implement and refine scalable and secure database structures tailored to complex healthcare data requirements Continuously evaluate and optimize schemas indices and queries to improve performance and reduce latency Work closely with product and development teams to build efficient compliant data models Data Analysis Transformation Migration Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify trends inconsistencies and areas of optimisation Design and execute data transformation processes to support reporting analytics and operational use cases Import and transform data from various third-party systems into our platform during client onboarding or system migrations Ensure data accuracy consistency and integrity during migration and conversion processes Performance Monitoring Maintenance Monitor databases to ensure availability performance and security Perform regular health checks backups and tuning tasks to maintain peak system performance Investigate and resolve issues including slow queries deadlocks and replication problems Security Compliance Enforce database security best practices including access control encryption and data masking Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations like HIPPA Document data policies and audit database activities regularly Support Continuous Improvement Provide support for database-related issues during development deployment and production use Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to support version control rollback plans and performance testing Proactively identify and implement improvements in data lifecycle management and database automation Required Skills Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field 2 years of hands-on experience as a DBA ideally with a domain that involves sensitive or regulated data Strong knowledge of RDBMS technologies like MySQL PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server Experience with data transformation and handling structured healthcare data Hands-on experience in data migration and import processes from third-party systems into in-house databases Proficiency in writing and optimising complex SQL queries Solid understanding of data privacy access controls and security protocols Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies indexing replication and performance tuning Nice to Have Experience in the healthcare or medical technology domain Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB Redis and cloud DB services AWS RDS Google Cloud SQL etc Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting tools Experience with modern data platforms such as Apache Cassandra ClickHouse Snowflake or Google BigQuery that support high-performance analytics ML and AI workloads Understanding of data pipelines and integration with machine learning platforms like TensorFlow Extended MLflow etc Please Note Local area candidates will be given priority first Job Type Full-time Pay 400 000 00 - 600 000 00 per year Work Location In person
