Job Requirements Bachelors master s degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 6 years of design experience in the areas of Locomotive Truck Bogie Automotive Chassis heavy fabrications suspension etc Lead the Design and development of Truck Bogie subsystem components for locomotives following robust Engineering Process Capture and consolidate all requirements for requisitions Develop finalize concepts with Trade-off analysis identify technical risks and develop solutions coordinate the Truck engineers and ensure compliance with customer regulatory and Customer specifications Must support design of locomotive Truck Bogie components covering various types of projects like requisition productivity service productivity reliability Technical understanding and capabilities in component design Understanding standards like ASAR EN IR etc is preferred Experience on 3D modelling UG NX is preferred tool Experience in Team center like writing ECR reviewing ECN Experience in Bogie related calculations Experience in Bolted Joint Analysis Hands on experience on tolerance stack up analysis Experience in spring selection and calculations Able to handle design review process Able to analyse shop issues and provide solutions Should have worked on Concept generation using idea generation methods Have good knowledge on validation process of components Have good knowledge on new component introduction process Should have worked in FMEA Validation Verification plan Strong knowledge in Engineering standards followed ANSI ISO ASTM GD T Tolerance stack-up DFA DFM DFS Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers Engineers Manufacturing Sourcing Field service and external consulting engineering teams Good in drawing reading skills Knowledge of manufacturing and machining process Skills required ANSI ASME specification knowledge Manufacturing Shop floor exposure Quality Inspection measuring equipment knowledge Personal soft skills Work Experience Good written and verbal communication skills in English Valuable analytical abilities Creativity and ingenuity Excellent work ethics Self-motivated
