Job Summary The OT Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the Operation Theatre OT in a sterile protected and functional condition for all surgical procedures They assist surgeons anesthetists and nursing staff during ophthalmic surgeries and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments equipment and consumables Key Responsibilities Prepare the OT before surgeries ensuring all instruments equipment and consumables are ready and sterilized Assist the surgeon and nursing staff during ophthalmic surgical procedures Ensure proper sterilization of surgical instruments and maintenance of sterile techniques Operate and maintain OT equipment microscopes cautery suction phaco machine etc Monitor stock levels of OT supplies and inform the in-charge for replenishment Handle and dispose of biomedical waste as per hospital policy Maintain accurate records of surgeries instruments and sterilization cycles Support in patient positioning and transfer before and after surgery Follow infection control protocols and ensure cleanliness of OT at all times Report equipment malfunction or maintenance needs immediately Coordinate with the OT team to ensure smooth workflow of scheduled surgeries Qualifications Requirements Diploma Certificate in OT Technology or related field Prior experience in OT preferably in eye ophthalmic surgeries Knowledge of OT protocols aseptic techniques and biomedical waste management Ability to handle OT equipment and surgical instruments Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work in rotational shifts and emergencies Skills Required Technical knowledge of OT procedures instruments Attention to detail and precision Strong sense of responsibility and discipline Ability to work under pressure during critical situations Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
