Threshold Competencies
i. Partner leads and manages financial due diligence engagements for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A;), Private Equity Investments (PE), Debt Funding and Strategic Transactions. The role involves overseeing complex financial analysis, advising clients on deal risks and opportunities, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality transaction insights. The Partner is also responsible for business development, client relationship management, and expanding the firms transaction advisory practice.
ii. The main objective is to achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, informing them of our scope of services and communicating how these services benefit their organizations.
iii. High energy with good people management and project management skills
iv. Advanced understanding of accounting concepts, Ind AS and good analytical skills.
v. Proven experience in interacting with senior management of clients.
Experience bracket
i. 15+ yrs of post-qualification experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence or investment banking.
ii. Experience working with Private Equity Funds, Alternative Investment Funds (“AIF”), Debt Funds and Strategic Investors.
iii. Exposure to cross-border transactions.
iv. Prior experience in Big 6 International/ Domestic firms or top consulting/advisory firms.
Academic Qualification
CA (plus CFA preferred)
Job Responsibilities
i. Understands the due diligence process and has experience in financial analysis and report (buy side, sell side, debt funding, etc.).
ii. Counsel team members on the project on KPIs and key financial drivers.
iii. Ensures that team members deliver quality service as per client’s needs and priorities.
iv. Review target company financial statements, cash flows, working capital, and earnings quality. Identify financial risks, liabilities, and deal breakers.
v.
Provide insights into valuation drivers and deal structuring considerations.
vi. Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery.
vii. Serve as a trusted advisor to Private Equity Funds, AIFs, Venture Capital Funds (“VC”), Corporates and Investors.
viii. Translate financial findings into strategic transaction advice.
ix. Present key findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
x. Focus teams on the key priorities while managing several large to medium-size projects.
xi. Ensuring smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area.
xii. Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them.
xiii. Reviews quality of deliverables, in terms of accuracy of research findings, presentation of data, logical reasoning of points of view, usage of crisp and effective language, and comprehensiveness of scope vis--vis the agreed scope.
xiv. Identifies, develops and implements best practices in projects. Defines need for new information sources, and provides feedback on new sources.
xv. Manages efficiency and productivity of team members on a day-to-day basis. Ensures adherence to FDD work-flow protocol and tools.
xvi. Assists in capacity planning, competency mapping and recruitment of resources for the assigned teams.
xvii. Develops deep and enduring relationships with key customers. Generates ideas for new sub service line initiatives.
xviii. Demonstrates and applies in-depth subject knowledge to deliverables and has general understanding of other-related disciplines.

Proactively participate in research approach identification and execute it to produce outputs contributing to the overall project.
xx. Assist in negotiating conflicting priorities and expectations.
xxi. Provide expert reviews for all projects within the assigned subject.
People Responsibilities
i. Coaches, counsels and mentors team members for professional development, and recommends training requirements to address perceived gaps (Team of 15-20 people).
ii. Manages performance of team members from setting goals to assessing performance against goals to providing performance feedback. Conduct performance appraisal sessions with the counselees during year end and mid-year.
Business Development
The Partner will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth and expanding the Financial Due Diligence (FDD) practice across domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
i. Develop and execute the annual business development strategy aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
ii. Build a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and monitor conversion from lead to engagement.
iii. Prepare commercial proposals, engagement letters, fee quotations, and presentations.
iv. Lead client pitches and commercial negotiations.
v. Drive cross-selling opportunities with Statutory Audit, Tax, Risk Advisory, Valuation, M&A;, and Deal Advisory Practice.
vi. Develop referral networks with bankers, lawyers, consultants, and investment professionals.
vii. Represent the firm at conferences, investor meets, seminars, and industry events to generate recent business.
viii. Develop strategic alliances with industry associations and professional bodies.
ix. Identify emerging sectors and industries with high transaction potential.
x. Build long-term client relationships to maximize repeat business and referrals.
xi. Achieve annual revenue, profitability, and client acquisition targets.
