Head Engineering & Maintenance (Formulations Unit)

Location: Rabale, Navi Mumbai

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Head Engineering & Maintenance to lead the engineering, utilities, and maintenance functions across multiple formulation manufacturing facilities. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, plant reliability, and engineering support for all formulation units.

Reports to: This position reports to CEO

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Engineering, maintenance & Utility function for all formulation manufacturing plants.
- Oversee maintenance, utilities, engineering projects, and equipment reliability across six formulation manufacturing facilities:
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Manage engineering teams across all locations; Engineering Heads of all six plants will report to this position.
- Plan and execute engineering projects, capacity expansion, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize utility consumption, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Projects, and Supply Chain for seamless plant operations.
- Develop engineering standards and best practices across all sites.

Preferred Experience





- Strong experience in managing Engineering and Maintenace function of Pharma Formulation plant of a reputed Pharma Company.
- Experience in sterile manufacturing or sterile formulation plants will be a robust advantage.
- Only those candidates who are heading Enginerring function of a reputed Pharma Company need apply.
- Proven experience in managing multi-site pharmaceutical engineering operations.
- Strong knowledge of utilities, HVAC, water systems, compressed air, electrical, mechanical maintenance, and engineering project management.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Additional certifications in Maintenance, Reliability, Project Management, or Utilities will be an added advantage.

Reporting Structure

- Reports to: CEO
- Direct Reports: Engineering Heads of six manufacturing plants.

Candidate Profile

- 20+ years of experience in pharmaceutical engineering and maintenance.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel across manufacturing locations.

Compensation: 75–80 LPA (depending on experience and Skill set)
