Job Description: Finance & Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Manage the company's day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Review General Ledger, Trial Balance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare MIS reports, profitability reports, and management dashboards.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

- Prepare annual operating and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets.
- Monitor budget utilization across all cold storage locations.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and financial projections.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

- Manage daily cash flow and working capital.
- Monitor banking transactions, loans, and credit facilities.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Cost Control & Profitability

- Monitor operating costs including:
- Electricity & diesel consumption
- Refrigeration maintenance costs
- Warehouse operating expenses
- Transportation and distribution costs
- Labour costs

- Analyse storage cost per pallet/MT and occupancy profitability.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives without compromising operational efficiency.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Qualified Tax, and other statutory regulations.




- Prepare and file statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act and applicable financial regulations.

Audit & Internal Controls

- Coordinate statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.
- Implement audit recommendations and monitor compliance.

ERP & Financial Systems

- Ensure effective utilization of Tally Prime / accounting software.
- Improve automation in financial reporting and controls.
- Support integration between finance, warehouse, and operations systems.

Qualification

- CMA (Inter/Final), MBA Finance, M.Com, or equivalent qualification may also be considered.

Experience

- 812 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial position.
- Prior experience in Cold Storage, Cold Chain Logistics, Warehousing, Manufacturing, FMCG, Food Processing, or Supply Chain is preferred.
