The Role

To successfully execute the consolidation, we will define the target-state Power BI architecture and governance for the consolidated tenant, including the workspace strategy, admin controls, permissions model, deployment patterns, and operational standards. We will define the tenant-to-tenant migration approach for Power BI artefacts, covering discovery, criticality classification, workspace mapping, move approach, validation, and remediation. We will establish runbooks for factory teams covering workspace creation/config, permissions mapping, report/dataset migration patterns, dependency handling, and post-move verification. Additionally, we will coordinate dependencies with Entra Apps/Identity, specifically focusing on service principals, admin consent, API permissions, and authentication methods used by datasets and refresh processes. We will define validation gates and acceptance criteria to ensure refresh success, dataset connectivity, row-level security behaviour, and business-visible report parity checks. We will also build and govern the exception framework to address legacy patterns, unsupported dependencies, complex gateway constraints, and external data source issues. Finally, we will drive production-ready operational reporting to track defect trends, refresh failures, adoption metrics, and the continuous improvement backlog.





Required Technical and Qualified Experience:

- Proven delivery of tenant-to-tenant Power BI migration (workspaces/reports/datasets) with real production outcomes.

- Strong Power BI architecture knowledge: workspace governance, security model, dataset lifecycle, refresh patterns, operational monitoring.

- Experience handling identity/service principal dependencies for Power BI estates in enterprise environments.

- Ability to create factory-grade runbooks and quality gates that minimise rework and protect business reporting continuity.

- Strong troubleshooting mindset for refresh failures, permission failures, broken dependencies and post-move validation.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric concepts (where it impacts Power BI estate modernisation).

- Experience with BI governance at scale (naming standards, workspace lifecycle, admin controls).

- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate alignment (PL 300).
