- Assign accurate medical codes to patient records using CPC (Certified Qualified Coder) guidelines.
- Review and verify the accuracy of diagnosis, procedure, and treatment codes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or errors in coding.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
Job Requirements :
- 1-10 years of experience in medical coding, preferably as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II codes and their applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
