- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of machined, forged, fabricated, and assembled components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and technical specifications.
- Measure components using precision measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer (Inside & Outside)
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Slip Gauges
- Thread Gauges
- Plug & Ring Gauges
- Surface Roughness Tester (preferred)
- Conduct dimensional inspection and visual inspection as per inspection plans.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) and production samples.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, and Project teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, defence quality requirements, and customer specifications.
- Monitor product quality during machining, heat treatment, coating,
and assembly processes.
- Identify defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support customer inspections and audits whenever required.
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Freshers with robust technical knowledge may apply.
- Candidates with 15 years of experience in precision machining or defence manufacturing will be preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T.;
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of machining processes including CNC Turning and VMC.
- Basic knowledge of heat treatment, surface finishing, and coating processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and quality documentation.
