Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) to lead the University's financial planning, budgeting, MIS reporting, business analysis, and strategic financial decision support.

The incumbent will work closely with the Finance Controller, University Leadership, Deans, Functional Heads, and other stakeholders to strengthen financial governance, improve business performance, and support strategic initiatives across the University.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Planning

- Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting and long-term financial planning process.
- Drive rolling forecasts and financial outlook for the University.
- Develop strategic financial models to support institutional growth initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership on long-term financial planning and resource allocation.

Financial Reporting & Analysis





- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Analyze University-wide financial performance and provide actionable business insights.
- Present financial performance reports, dashboards and management commentary to senior leadership.
- Conduct variance analysis against Budget, AOP and Forecast.

Budgeting & Cost Management

- Coordinate budgeting across Schools, Departments and Support Functions.
- Monitor departmental spending and recommend cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure efficient allocation of financial resources aligned with organizational priorities.

Business Partnering

- Work closely with Deans, Department Heads and Functional Leaders to understand financial requirements.
- Support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis.
- Validate financial assumptions for new academic programs, projects and investments.
- Evaluate business cases and investment proposals.

MIS & Dashboard Management

- Develop comprehensive MIS reports covering:
- University P&L;
- School-wise P&L;
- Program-wise Profitability
- Cash Flow
- Balance Sheet
- Infrastructure Updates
- Financial & Operational KPIs

- Create executive dashboards for University leadership.

Financial Modelling

- Develop financial models for:
- New Academic Programs
- Capital Expenditure
- Infrastructure Projects
- Fee Revenue Forecasting




- Student Enrolment Planning
- Cash Flow Forecasting
- Business Expansion

Governance & Compliance

- Ensure accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial reporting.
- Support internal and statutory audits.
- Drive financial controls and process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities for automation and digitization of finance processes.
- Enhance MIS reporting capabilities using BI tools and ERP systems.
- Implement best practices in FP&A; and financial governance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification

- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory

Experience

- 10–15 years of post-qualification experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Finance or Corporate Finance.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting and financial modelling.
- Candidates currently working in Higher Education Institutions, Universities or Educational Organizations will be given preference.
