As we expand our manufacturing capabilities and strengthen our presence in domestic and international markets, we are looking for an experienced Product Development (PD) Merchandiser to lead end-to-end product development and merchandising operations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven PD Merchandiser with robust experience in the apparel and garment manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should have complete knowledge of product developmentfrom concept to productionincluding garment costing, sourcing, vendor management, buyer handling, production coordination, and trend forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete Product Development (PD) lifecycle from concept to bulk production.
- Prepare accurate garment costing from Point A to Point Z, including fabric, trims, labour, washing, printing, embroidery, packaging, logistics, overheads, and margin calculations.
- Collaborate closely with the Design, Sampling, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely product development.
- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and production vendors while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buying houses, and manufacturing partners.




- Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and commercial terms with vendors.
- Independently handle domestic and international buyers, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
- Track product development timelines and ensure on-time sample and production delivery.
- Stay updated with global fashion trends, runway collections, colour forecasts, fabric innovations, and competitor analysis.
- Benchmark products against leading international fashion brands and translate trends into commercially successful collections.
- Coordinate sampling, approvals, production planning, and execution.
- Lead and mentor merchandising and sourcing teams while driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Resolve sourcing, production, costing, and buyer-related challenges with a solution-oriented approach.

Required Skills

- 5 - 8+ years of experience as a Product Development (PD) Merchandiser in the garment or apparel industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in product development and garment manufacturing.
- Expertise in garment costing and commercial analysis.
- Excellent negotiation, bargaining, and vendor management skills.
- Strong sourcing network for fabrics, trims, accessories, washing, printing, embroidery, and buying houses.
- Experience handling domestic and international buyers.
- Sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, fabrics, trims, and production processes.
- Strong understanding of fashion trends and premium/global fashion brands.
- Excellent communication,



leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and merchandising/ERP software.
- Fashion design knowledge will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with premium fashion brands, export houses, buying houses, or apparel manufacturers is preferred.
