Position: Backup Administrator, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / IBM Spectrum Protect/commvault Backup Admin / Veeam

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer, monitor, and maintain IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / IBM Spectrum Protect backup infrastructure.
- Configure and manage backup and recovery policies for servers, databases, applications, and storage systems.
- Perform backup scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and restoration activities.
- Ensure successful execution of daily, weekly, and monthly backup jobs.
- Manage backup retention, storage pools, tape libraries, and archive operations.
- Perform disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and recovery exercises.
- Troubleshoot backup failures and coordinate with infrastructure, storage, and application teams for resolution.
- Monitor backup environment health, capacity utilization, and performance.
- Ensure SLA compliance and timely incident resolution.
- Prepare operational reports, documentation, SOPs,



and knowledge transfer documents.

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / IBM Spectrum Protect Administration.
- Hands-on experience in backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations.
- Experience managing tape libraries, storage pools, and backup repositories.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix server environments.
- Understanding of SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage technologies.
- Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Good understanding of backup policies, retention management, and compliance requirements.
- Solid documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with enterprise backup solutions and large-scale data center environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and managed services support.
- Relevant IBM backup/storage certifications.
