Educational Qualification
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Management, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Science, Commerce, or any relevant discipline.
- MBA in Marketing/Business Development will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with experience in Environmental Consultancy, Infrastructure Consultancy, Government Projects, Tender Management, or Professional Services will be preferred.
Experience
- 24 years of experience in Business Development (especially in EIA or Environmental Field), Client Management, Proposal Preparation, Consultancy Services, or related fields.

Job Purpose
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Business Development Team in business acquisition, client relationship management, proposal preparation, tender documentation, coordination with technical and quality teams, and maintaining systematic records of all business development activities. The role requires strong communication, documentation, coordination, and client handling skills to support organizational growth and achieve business targets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the existing Business Development Team in identifying new business opportunities, potential clients, and market segments for GRC India's services.
- Develop an understanding of GRC India's core environmental consultancy services including Environmental Clearance (EC) processes, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies, Environmental Management Plans (EMP), Consent to Establish (CTE), Consent to Operate (CTO), Environmental NOCs, regulatory approvals, compliance management,
and other statutory environmental permissions required for various industrial, mining, infrastructure, and development projects.
- Assist the Business Development Team in identifying, approaching, and engaging potential clients requiring Environmental Consultancy Services, including preparation of proposals, client presentations, requirement assessment, coordination with technical experts, and business conversion for services related to EIA/EMP preparation, regulatory approvals, environmental audits, compliance reports, pollution control consents, and other environmental management solutions offered by GRC India.
- Support lead generation activities through networking, client references, industry interactions, online platforms, webinars, seminars, conferences, and professional forums.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Communicate with clients through emails, telephone calls, virtual meetings, and physical meetings to understand their requirements and business opportunities.
- Assist in pitching GRC India's services, capabilities, technical expertise, and project experience to prospective clients.
- Coordinate with clients for business discussions, requirement gathering, proposal follow-ups, and conversion of opportunities into work orders.
- Maintain regular follow-up with clients regarding proposals submitted, discussions held, pending requirements, and business status.
- Support the organization in achieving business development targets and generating new work orders.
- Prepare, maintain, and update client databases containing client details, project requirements, discussions, proposals, follow-up status, and business opportunities.
- Maintain daily documentation and records of all client engagements including calls, meetings, presentations, discussions, follow-ups, and action points.
- Prepare periodic Business Development reports, opportunity trackers, client engagement reports, and management updates.
- Assist in preparation of technical and commercial proposals in coordination with the EIA Technical Team and Management.
- Support preparation of Expression of Interest (EOI), Request for Proposal (RFP), tender documents, technical submissions,
commercial proposals, and client-specific presentations.
- Coordinate with internal teams for collection of required documents, project credentials, technical details, expert profiles, certifications, and supporting information required for proposals.
- Maintain records of submitted proposals, tenders, client communications, and their current status.
- Assist in monitoring relevant tender opportunities and business enquiries related to environmental consultancy services.
- Support tender documentation, compilation, review, and timely submission of required documents.
- Participate in online and physical client meetings along with the Business Development and Technical Teams.
- Assist in preparing presentations related to company profile, technical capabilities, project experience, services offered, and organizational credentials.
- Prepare meeting notes, maintain records of discussions, and ensure timely follow-up on agreed action points.
- Coordinate with the EIA Technical Team for technical inputs, project references, consultant details, proposal requirements, and client-specific requirements.
- Develop a basic understanding of EIA consultancy services, environmental regulations, and organizational capabilities to effectively communicate with clients.
- Support the EIA Technical Team in client coordination, documentation, and business-related activities.
- Assist the Quality Team during internal and external audits by coordinating required documentation, records, reports, and compliance-related information.
- Support maintenance and updating of quality-related documents, registers, records, and audit requirements.
- Assist in improving organizational documentation systems related to Business Development, client interactions, proposals, and business opportunities.
- Attend and actively participate in webinars, seminars, conferences, workshops, and industry networking events for business development and organizational visibility.
- Identify potential business opportunities through industry participation and professional networking.
- Represent GRC India professionally during external meetings, events, and client interactions.
- Coordinate with different departments for smooth execution of Business Development activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information, organizational data, proposals, and business strategies.
- Perform any other tasks, assignments, or responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
