Job Description Accounts Executive (Import Payments & Reconciliations)

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and settlement of import-related financial transactions. The role ensures compliance with internal

controls, maintains accurate ERP records, and supports smooth coordination with the Import and Banking departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record import payment entries in the ERP on the same day debit advice is received, ensuring

complete and accurate details and narrations.

• Record claim entries promptly upon receipt of information from the Import Department.

• Enter customs duty payment transactions in the ERP within one working day of receiving

supporting data from the Import Department.

• Apply import payment entries accurately and on time against the respective import invoices.





• Complete bank reconciliations within four working days of the transaction date and

coordinate with the Banking Department to resolve outstanding reconciling items promptly.

• Perform timely reconciliation of key ledgers, including Labour Receivable, Freight Receivable,

Shipping Line, and other assigned accounts.

• Identify, investigate, and take corrective actions to minimize reconciliation discrepancies and

ensure accuracy of financial records.

• Maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all accounting and

reconciliation activities.

• Perform any other duties or assignments as directed by the Team Leader or Management

from time to time.
