About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer (L1) to join our Airport IT team. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting critical Airport Operational Systems including AODB (Airport Operational Database), RMS (Resource Management System), FIDS (Flight Information Display System), ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), and other airport-specific applications.

You will be the first line of defense in ensuring smooth and uninterrupted system operations, responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalating issues where needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for IT support and aviation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide Level 1 support for AODB, RMS, FIDS, ESB, and other airport operational applications.
- Monitor application health, logs, alerts, and scheduled tasks to ensure uptime and performance.
- Perform initial troubleshooting of incidents, resolve where possible, or escalate to L2/L3 teams.
- Maintain documentation for incidents, known issues, workarounds, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, infrastructure, and vendors.




- Ensure timely communication with stakeholders during outages or planned maintenance.
- Participate in system checks during deployments, patching, or infrastructure activities.

Requirements:

- 1–3 years of experience in application support or technical operations roles.
- Exposure to supporting enterprise applications; experience in airport systems is a solid plus.
- Basic knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL preferred) – ability to navigate, run scripts, check logs.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases – running queries, checking logs, basic troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of ITIL practices (incident, problem, and change management).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Airport Operational Systems – AODB, RMS, FIDS, ESB.
- Understanding of aviation/airport domain operations.
- Certification in Linux or Oracle technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and service management platforms.
