Job Description: Lead Quality & Process Excellence

Role Overview

As the Lead – Quality & Process Excellence, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and quality standards across our fulfillment center network. Partnering closely with Operations and Central teams, you will champion Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes, reduce losses, ensure strict SOP compliance, and directly elevate the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Continuous Improvement & Waste Elimination

- Lead cross-functional Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma projects to streamline operations and eliminate non-value-added activities.
- Conduct work measurement studies, process optimization, and automation initiatives to continuously boost productivity.
- Design, standardize, and scale best-in-class operational processes across all sites.

2. Quality Metrics & Defect Reduction

- Monitor, analyze, and drive improvements across core operational KPIs:

- Productivity & Efficiency
- Inventory DPPM (Defects Per Million Opportunities)
- Damage Rates & Loss Prevention
- INF (Inventory Not Found) & Wrong Picking rates
- Process Compliance

- Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement robust Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) for recurring quality defects and operational gaps.

3. Audit Governance & Compliance

- Drive regular audit governance to ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Champion inventory accuracy through cycle count controls and process rigor.
- Establish a continuous feedback loop to update SOPs based on ground realities and process changes.

Data Analytics & Insights

- Analyze operational metrics, build real-time performance dashboards, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Leverage data to pinpoint bottleneck areas and quantify business impact for proposed solutions.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Capability Building

- Partner with Central Logistics, Tech, and Site Operations teams to deploy automation and tech-enabled process upgrades.
- Train, coach, and mentor site operations teams on quality tools, process excellence methodologies, and continuous improvement mindsets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Improvement in fulfillment center productivity metrics
- Reduction in operational defects (INF, Wrong Pick, Damage, DPPM)
- SOP compliance scores and inventory audit accuracy
- Successful closure and adoption of Kaizen/Process Improvement projects

Candidate Profile & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related technical field (MBA preferred).
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt preferred.
- Experience: 4–7+ years of experience in Process Excellence, Quality Management, or Operations within Fulfillment Centers, Warehousing, E-commerce, or Logistics.
- Technical Skills:

- Solid proficiency in RCA/CAPA frameworks (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
- Advanced data analytics capability (Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau).
- Hands-on experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and automation tools.

- Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving mindset, and strong cross-functional communication abilities.
