Role & responsibilities
Create and maintain accurate 3D models and assemblies for wire harness component testing jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Develop bills of material, testing checkpoints, and associated manufacturing documents.
Ensure company standards and procedures are incorporated into manufacturing drawings.
Collaborate with suppliers regarding the geometry and documentation of purchased parts.
Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret 3D e-drawings and GD&T;.
Provide support for high voltage wire harness testing jigs/fixtures.
Work closely with manufacturing teams and other associated departments.
Manage designs from concept to manufacturing.
Review documentation from other engineers and designers in a document review process.
Conduct improvement activities related to recent concepts of jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Maintain all design documents for wire harness testing jigs and gauges.
Preferred candidate profile
Desired Skill Set
Proficient with three-dimensional design software (Solid-Edge is preferred)
Strong understanding of design for manufacturing and quality principles
Good knowledge of pneumatic diagrams and components
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Exposure to basic electric and high voltage testing is an added advantage
Excellent communication, interpersonal interaction, and time management skills
