Job Description Accounts Receivable (AR) & Denial Management Specialist (Diagnostic Laboratory Center)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) & Denial Management Specialist to support the revenue cycle operations of a Diagnostic Laboratory Center. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Medicare Part A Institutional (UB-04) claims, insurance follow-up, denial management, appeals, and reimbursement for diagnostic laboratory services. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Denial Management.
- Hands-on experience working on Medicare Part A Institutional (UB-04) claims.
- Experience in Diagnostic Laboratory, Hospital Laboratory, Pathology, or Institutional Revenue Cycle Management.
- Strong understanding of:
- Medicare Part A Institutional (UB-04) claims




- Revenue Codes and Type of Bill (TOB)
- Medical necessity denials
- Eligibility and benefits verification
- Prior authorization-related denials
- CARC and RARC denial codes
- Timely filing limits
- Appeals and reconsiderations
- Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement guidelines

- Experience working with EOBs, ERAs, payer portals, and insurance follow-up.
- Solid analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned AR inventory.
