Role Overview :

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on the data/warehousing platforms, with a strong focus on data-driven reporting and business intelligence.

The role will support enterprise-wide analytics initiatives, enabling self-service BI, data-driven decision-making, and AI-ready data platforms aligned to the organizations analytics vision.

Role & responsibilities

1. Data Engineering & Pipelines :

- Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines (Fabric/AWS/BigQuery/SAP/Snowflake etc.)
- Develop and maintain data models, data marts, and curated layers for analytics
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across pipelines

2. Dashboard Development :

- Develop interactive dashboards and reports (Power BI/SAC/Qlik/Looker/Quicksight etc.)
- Build and optimize data models (star schema, measures, DAX etc.)
- Enable self-service analytics capabilities for business users.

3. Analytics Platform

- Work on various analytics stack (Fabric/AWS/BigQuery/SAP/Snowflake etc.)
- Implement scalable architectures (Lakehouse / medallion model).

4. Data Governance & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to:

o Data governance

o Access control and security standards





o Pharma regulatory context (GxP, audit readiness where required).

5. Performance Optimization

- Optimize query performance and pipeline execution
- Handle large datasets and incremental loads efficiently

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

- Robust experience in:

oSQL (mandatory)

oData modeling (dimensional modeling star/snowflake)

oETL/ELT concepts

- Hands-on experience with:

oDashboarding tool (Power BI/SAC/Qlik/Looker/Quicksight etc.)

oData Lake / warehouse concepts

Preferred Skills

- Experience with (any of these):

oDatabricks (PySpark / Spark), AWS, Fabric, BigQuery, Datasphere, SAP BW etc.

oPython for data engineering.

- Understanding of:

o Lakehouse architecture

o Data governance tools (e.g., Purview)

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Good communication skills (business + technical stakeholders)

Nice to Have

- Exposure to AI/ML use cases or Copilot / GenAI-enabled analytics
- Experience working in Manufacturing industries, regulatory experience such as Pharma is added advantage.
