We are seeking an experienced KDB+/Q Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance time-series database applications. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in KDB+/Q, Unix/Linux, and financial market data processing. Experience in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Trading platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using KDB+/Q.
- Develop efficient Q scripts for real-time and historical market data processing.
- Build and optimize high-performance time-series databases.
- Analyze, process, and manage large-scale financial datasets.
- Collaborate with business analysts, traders, and development teams to gather requirements.
- Optimize database performance, memory usage, and query execution.
- Support production environments and troubleshoot application issues.
- Follow SDLC, coding standards, version control, and release processes.
- Create technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
- Work in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with KDB+ and Q programming language.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of time-series databases and data modeling.




- Experience with SQL and data analysis.
- Knowledge of distributed KDB architecture (HDB, RDB, Tickerplant).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with Git, JIRA, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Good to Have

- Python or Java development experience.
- Kafka, REST APIs, or messaging technologies.
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Trading, Risk, or Market Data domain knowledge.
- Experience with real-time analytics and low-latency systems.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
