- Management-level accounting function, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Managing project accounting for all capital projects
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Monitor compliance with financing agreements, where applicable
- Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
- Working closely with Executive Team and Partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
- Providing Executive Team and Partners with information vital to the decision-making process, including ongoing financial performance monitoring
- Managing the annual budget process and monthly financial performance tracking relative to budget
- Assessing current accounting and control systems and operations, offering recommendations for improvement and efficient implementation of new processes
- Assist in implementing key efficiency initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
- Hiring, training, and developing skilled accounting staff

Requirements:

- ualified Chartered Accountants (CA) or Cost C Management Accountants (CMA) or equivalent bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 to 10 years of accounting/industry experience, including as a Controller strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of GAAP accounting practices. Understands accounting transactions and is highly detailed oriented
- Self-starter, with efficient time management, solid organizational skills, and proven ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to build out and further develop accounting functions in a dynamic, changing environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively coordinate on a cross-functional and cross-organizational basis
- Excellent team player with a can-do and approachable demeanour
