Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business and product requirements.
- Convert business requirements into detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Define end-to-end functional requirements for Project Management features such as:
- Projects and project planning
- Tasks and subtasks
- Milestones and deliverables
- Task dependencies
- Project templates
- Resource allocation and workload management
- Timesheets and time tracking
- Project budgets and costs
- Project billing
- Project profitability
- Project health and progress tracking
- Issues, risks and change requests
- Notifications, reminders and escalations
- Dashboards, KPIs and project reports

- Design workflows, validations, permissions, statuses, configurations and business rules.
- Work closely with Product, UI/UX, Development and QA teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis of leading Project Management platforms.
- Identify gaps in existing functionality and recommend product improvements.
- Create wireframes/process flows to clearly communicate requirements to UI/UX and Development teams.
- Clarify functional requirements and edge cases during development.
- Work closely with QA to ensure test scenarios cover functional requirements and business rules.




- Participate in UAT and validate completed features against approved requirements.
- Understand customer requirements while ensuring that solutions are scalable and suitable for a SaaS product rather than customer-specific implementations.
- Contribute to product roadmap discussions and feature prioritization.

Must-Have Experience

- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Product Business Analyst / Functional Business Analyst.
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience working on a Project Management, Work Management, PSA or similar SaaS software product.
- Experience working in a product-based SaaS company is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the complete Project Management lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience preparing BRD, FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows and functional specifications.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum product development.
- Experience working directly with Developers, QA, UI/UX and Product teams.
- Ability to independently analyze a feature and define detailed functional requirements, including validations and edge cases.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
