Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead software engineering teams in building scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AWS, .NET, and MongoDB, combined with experience leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and software delivery. This role requires robust leadership, stakeholder management, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications using .NET, AWS, and MongoDB.
- Define technical strategy, architecture, and engineering standards aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end software delivery, ensuring quality, security, performance, and reliability.
- Champion Agile delivery, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
- Promote the effective use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT) to improve developer productivity and code quality.
- Manage engineering capacity, delivery plans, risks, dependencies, and technical debt.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, and Operations teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Drive cloud modernization, application modernization, and automation initiatives.
- Recruit, coach, and retain engineering talent through performance management and career development.
Required Skills Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead role.
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and EventBridge.
- Strong experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, performance tuning, and high-availability deployments.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT, or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, security, scalability, and cloud-native development.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certification.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
- Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI-enabled application development.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
