Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering technologies to design, build, and optimise enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, data modelling, and modern data warehousing concepts, with a strong focus on creating scalable and efficient data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Develop and optimise complex SQL queries and Python-based data transformation logic.
- Define and build data models to create a unified ("golden view") data model from large enterprise datasets.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Azure DevOps.
- Manage source code and deployment processes using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Ensure data quality, security, compliance, and governance standards are met.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipeline performance.
- Ensure compliance with operational risk standards, including logging, monitoring, availability, resiliency, and security requirements.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and streamline processes.

Required Experience

- 67 years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Modelling.
- Solid expertise in Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT development.
- Strong understanding of Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and Performance Optimisation.
- Experience with Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture.
- Proficiency in GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
