Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Design & Calculations

- Perform design calculations for water and wastewater treatment processes (e.g., screening, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, biological treatment, disinfection)
- Develop mass balance and hydraulic calculations
- Determine design parameters such as flow rates, loading rates, detention times, and chemical dosages
- Evaluate raw water/wastewater characteristics and recommend appropriate treatment processes

2. Equipment Sizing & Selection

- Size and specify key equipment such as:
- Clarifiers, aeration tanks, filters, digesters
- Pumps, blowers, mixers
- Chemical dosing systems
- Prepare equipment datasheets and technical specifications
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment selection and technical evaluation

3. Drawings & Documentation

- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs)



and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;)
- Prepare schematic layouts of treatment plants
- Ensure drawings comply with design standards and project requirements
- Support preparation of technical reports, design basis documents, and BOQs

4. Project Support

- Work closely with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for integrated design
- Provide technical support during project execution, installation, and commissioning
- Review contractor/vendor drawings and documents

5. Optimization & Compliance

- Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and environmental guidelines
- Troubleshoot process issues and recommend improvements
- Optimize system performance for cost, efficiency, and sustainability
