Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow CMDB Developer with strong hands-on expertise in end-to-end CMDB implementation and ownership. The ideal candidate should have independently driven CMDB initiatives, including design, implementation, optimization, governance, and maintenance, without relying on other team members for CMDB-related activities.

This role requires a pure CMDB developer profile with deep technical expertise in Discovery, Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE), CMDB Health, Service Mapping, and CMDB Data Governance. Candidates with primarily support, operations, administration, or maintenance backgrounds will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently design, develop, implement, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB solutions.
- Lead end-to-end CMDB implementation projects from requirements gathering through deployment and optimization.
- Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery for automated infrastructure and application discovery.
- Implement and optimize Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules, identification criteria, and reconciliation policies.
- Drive CMDB data quality initiatives using CMDB Health Dashboards and governance frameworks.
- Design and maintain CI class structures, relationships, and dependency mapping.
- Execute bulk data onboarding and integration strategies into CMDB.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud,



and application teams to ensure accurate configuration item lifecycle management.
- Implement best practices for CMDB governance, normalization, and data certification.
- Troubleshoot complex CMDB, Discovery, and reconciliation issues.
- Support Service Mapping and dependency mapping initiatives.
- Develop CMDB-related integrations, transform maps, and data ingestion processes.
- Ensure CMDB compliance with ServiceNow best practices and organizational standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

- 68 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience with significant focus on CMDB.
- Proven experience independently handling end-to-end CMDB implementation.
- Strong expertise in:
- ServiceNow CMDB
- Discovery
- Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
- CMDB Health
- CI Class Manager
- Service Mapping
- Data Manager
- CMDB Governance

- Experience defining Identification Rules and Reconciliation Rules.
- Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, CSDM, and data models.
- Hands-on experience with cloud, server, network, and application CI management.
- Experience in integrating multiple data sources into CMDB.
- Strong scripting knowledge in JavaScript and ServiceNow platform scripting.
- Ability to perform data quality assessments and remediation activities.

Preferred Qualifications

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery (Preferred).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) is a plus.
- Experience with CSDM implementation.
- Exposure to cloud discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in large-scale enterprise CMDB transformation initiatives.
