Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Native HANA Modeller with strong expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade SAP Native HANA data models and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in

SAP HANA Calculation Views, SQLScript development, data modeling, and performance optimization, with the ability to build scalable and high-performing reporting and analytics solutions.

The role demands deep technical expertise in SAP Native HANA development, including advanced modeling techniques, push-down processing, query optimization, and database performance tuning. The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into efficient HANA-based data models and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Native HANA Development & Modeling

- Design, develop, and maintain SAP Native HANA artifacts, including:
- Graphical Calculation Views
- SQLScript-based Calculation Views
- Table Functions
- Stored Procedures
- Analytical Privileges
- Roles and User Management

- Develop scalable, reusable, and high-performance HANA data models following SAP best practices and modeling standards.
- Create and maintain:

- Schemas
- Column Store Tables
- Partitions
- Hierarchies
- Input Parameters
- Variables

- Design advanced data models using:

- Joins
- Star Joins
- Projections
- Aggregations
- Unions
- Calculated Columns
- Restricted Columns

- Implement complex business logic using SQLScript and push-down processing techniques.
- Develop and maintain semantic layers for analytical and reporting requirements.
- Implement:

- Parent-Child Hierarchies
- Currency Conversions
- Unit Conversions
- Time-Based Calculations

- Build optimized data models that support operational, management, and analytical reporting requirements.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation,



and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting data.
- Prepare technical design documents and support knowledge transfer activities.

Performance Optimization & Tuning

- Analyze and optimize Calculation Views, SQLScript procedures, and complex database queries.
- Perform execution plan analysis and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Implement performance optimization techniques including:
- Partitioning
- Indexing
- Data Pruning
- Effective Join Strategies
- Aggregation Optimization

- Optimize large-volume data processing and improve query response times.
- Ensure high availability, stability, and performance of business-critical HANA applications.
- Support production issue resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Manage OSS incidents and coordinate with SAP support teams when required.
