Role Overview

The Finance Lead will be responsible for driving the overall financial strategy, governance, planning, reporting, and business partnering for the Oil Palm Business. The role will work closely with the CFO, CEO, manufacturing plants, and cross-functional teams to enable sustainable growth, operational excellence, and financial performance.

The incumbent will lead a team of finance professionals while ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, risk management, and business decision support.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy

- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the business growth objectives.
- Partner with business leadership to drive long-term value creation and sustainable profitability.

Financial Planning & Analysis

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide business insights and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Cost Management





- Drive cost optimisation initiatives across manufacturing and operations.
- Analyse production costs and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency without compromising quality.

Capital Allocation & Investment

- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities.
- Assess project ROI and provide financial recommendations for business expansion initiatives.

Financial Reporting

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal reporting guidelines.

Cash Flow Management

- Manage working capital efficiently.
- Optimise cash flows and liquidity to support business operations and strategic investments.

Risk Management

- Identify and mitigate financial risks including commodity price volatility, foreign exchange exposure, supply chain disruptions, and market fluctuations.

Compliance & Audit

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 812 years of experience in handling manufacturing finance
- Strong knowledge of:

- Regulatory Compliance

Experience

- Experience in a senior finance leadership role managing teams of 1215 members or more.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing finance,



business finance, plant finance, costing, and commercial finance.
- Experience in import and export accounting and commercial transactions.
- Proven track record of driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and working capital optimisation.
- Experience working with ERP systems and leading finance system implementation or enhancement projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence strategic decisions.

Travel Requirement

- This role involves extensive travel to manufacturing plants. Approximately 10-12 days of travel per month to plant locations to partner with operations teams, review business performance, strengthen financial governance, and support strategic business initiatives. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent travel as part of the role.
