Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Production Support Analyst to provide L2/L3 support for critical business applications running on Mainframe systems. The role involves monitoring production environments, incident management, batch job support, and ensuring high system availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide production support for Mainframe applications (L2/L3)
- Monitor production systems and batch jobs to ensure timely completion
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
- Handle job abends, file failures, performance issues, and system alerts
- Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and vendor teams
- Perform restart/recovery procedures for failed jobs
- Support change management, releases, and deployments




- Respond to incidents and service requests as per SLA
- Prepare and maintain production support documentation and SOPs
- Participate in oncall support and weekend support rotations
- Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 310 years of experience in Mainframe Production Support
- Robust handson experience with:
- COBOL, JCL
- VSAM
- CICS
- DB2

- Experience with Batch Processing
- Good knowledge of Mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, IEBGENER, etc.)
- Experience using Job Scheduling tools (ControlM / CA7 / TWS)
- Familiarity with incident and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
- Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good communication and stakeholdermanagement skills
