Job Description

The Application Developer would be the primary developer for a cloud-hosted platform with a React/TypeScript front end, Java/Spring Boot microservices, AWS-managed identity, and managed data services. The role covers Java/Spring Boot microservices, basic front-end development, React/TypeScript support, REST APIs, Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, S3, Cognito, reporting, and integrations, with cross-training.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, and platform business logic
- Support microservices, entitlement-aware workflows, document and content workflows, and application integrations
- Work with Aurora PostgreSQL, SQL, Redis caching, OpenSearch indexing/search, and S3-based document storage
- Integrate identity context and secure access patterns using Amazon Cognito and token-based authentication
- Contribute to React/TypeScript front-end development and complete application workflows
- Integrate with third-party platforms such as Qualtrics, Lucidchart, and Jaspersoft where applicable
- Support Bitbucket Pipelines CI/CD workflows, environment configuration, and deployment troubleshooting
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, defect resolution, and Agile delivery processes
- Cross-training as needed

Essential Skills

Job

- 4-8 years of experience developing enterprise application services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases
- Experience supporting microservices, business logic, entitlement-aware workflows, document and content workflows, and application integrations.




- Working knowledge of Aurora PostgreSQL, SQL, Redis caching, OpenSearch indexing/search, and S3-based document storage
- Exposure to Amazon Cognito, token-based authentication, authorization patterns, and secure service design
- Working knowledge of React, TypeScript, and modern front-end development practices
- Understanding of secure coding practices, code reviews, unit testing, and defect resolution
- Exposure to Bitbucket, Bitbucket Pipelines, CI/CD workflows, workplace configuration, and deployment troubleshooting

Job

- Experience integrating with third-party platforms such as Qualtrics, Lucidchart, and Jaspersoft
- Exposure to Jaspersoft Visualize.js or comparable embedded reporting frameworks
- Familiarity with AWS Amplify or cloud-hosted front-end deployment patterns
- Familiarity with Agile processes and ticketing systems such as VersionOne or Jira

Other Relevant Information

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4-8 years of experience in enterprise application development, preferably on SaaS or cloud-hosted platforms
- Willingness to cross-train and provide development coverage across multiple applications
