Job Summary
As a Finance Business Advisor, you will play a critical role in establishing and managing end-to-end finance operations for Nationwide India Office (NIO). You will be responsible for transaction preparation, financial controls, treasury coordination, and compliance activities, while ensuring alignment with global policies and local regulatory requirements. This role will require strong stakeholder coordination across NIO leadership and external vendors, along with ownership of payment workflows, financial reporting inputs, and high-risk transaction handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end finance operations for NIO, including day-to-day transaction processing, validation, and documentation in line with defined controls.
- Prepare and initiate all payments within the HSBCnet banking portal, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
- Enable seamless execution of payment workflows by coordinating with designated NIO approvers responsible for in-portal authorization.
- Support the transition of finance and treasury activities from external vendors to a fully insourced NIO operating model.
- Prepare and manage high-value treasury transactions in line with defined thresholds, ensuring appropriate documentation, governance, and escalation.
- Identify, assess, and manage high-risk financial items, ensuring visibility to NIO leadership and alignment with approval protocols.
- Support tax-related activities including documentation, compliance, and coordination with external vendors and US stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards across all finance and treasury processes.
- Drive process improvements, standardization,
and automation to enhance efficiency and support NIO's evolution as a standalone business unit.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Experience
Education: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
Experience: Eight or more years of experience in finance, accounting, or treasury operations. Experience in GCC/shared services setup or transition workplace preferred. Strong exposure to banking platforms (e.g., HSBCnet), payment workflows, and financial controls. Experience collaborating with global stakeholders and external vendors.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of financial processes: AP, treasury, compliance, and reporting.
- Firsthand experience with banking portals and payment processing systems.
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and risk management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
- Ability to design and implement process workflows and approval matrices.
