About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong BI Tester / QA Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of BI reports, dashboards, and data pipelines. You will work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and business analysts to validate data from source to consumption layer playing a critical role in delivering trusted, high-quality insights to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Validate Power BI reports, dashboards, filters, slicers, drill-throughs, and visualizations.
- Verify DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and business logic.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
- Perform data warehouse, ETL, and data quality testing.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, test scripts, and execute regression testing.
- Log and track defects using JIRA,



Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with BI developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders during UAT.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to QA best practices.

Required Skills

- 1-3 years of experience in QA with robust exposure to BI/Data Testing.
- Hands-on experience in Power BI Dashboard and Report Testing.
- Strong SQL skills for backend data validation.
- Experience validating DAX measures, KPIs, calculated columns, and business logic.
- Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, ETL testing, Fact & Dimension tables.
- Experience with Regression Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with source-to-target data validation.
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, APIs, and Flat File data sources.
- Knowledge of data quality testing and performance testing.
- Experience validating metrics across multiple BI reports and dashboards.
