Job Summary

Your role: Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world's MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. In this role, you'll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you'll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable up-to-date cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe's core data.

Key Responsibilities

- JDE Application Development: Design, build, test, and deploy custom applications, reports, and enhancements using the JDE EnterpriseOne toolset.
- JDE Orchestrator Studio, Business Services (BSSV), and REST/SOAP APIs to seamlessly integrate JD Edwards 9.2 with third-party applications.
- Modify existing JDE objects and create new developments utilizing standard tools like Object Management Workbench (OMW).
- Report Design Aid (RDA), Form Design Aid (FDA), and Table Design Aid (TDA).
- Develop and maintain complex Business Functions (BSFN) using C programming and Named Event Rules (NER).
- Utilize User Defined Objects (UDOs) such as E1 Pages, Grid Formats, CafeOne, Watchlists, and Notifications to enhance the end-user experience.
- Diagnose system failures, perform root cause analysis, debug code,



and implement timely fixes for production support tickets.
- Work alongside business analysts to prepare technical specification documents from functional requirements.

Requirements

Required skills and experience

- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- JD Edwards EnterpriseOne / World development experience
- Excellent coding skills and solid development experience with debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Software development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software.
- Experienced in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design - Microservices architecture, containers (Docker k8s), messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of OOP and design patterns.

Preferred skills and experience

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
