- Contribute to Azure-based application development, deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities
- Break down ambiguous requirements into clear technical tasks, implementation plans, and delivery risks
- Identify technical dependencies, edge cases, cross-system impacts, and quality risks before and during implementation
- Write and maintain developer-owned tests, including unit tests, integration tests, API tests, and functional tests where appropriate
- Guide developer-owned testing practices for assigned features to improve reliability, maintainability, and regression confidence
- Collaborate with QA and SDET resources to clarify acceptance criteria, improve testability, reproduce defects, validate fixes, and reduce regression risk
- Lead defect investigation and root-cause analysis across front-end, back-end, database, API, logs, Azure services, and integrated systems
- Participate in and lead code reviews with attention to maintainability, testability, performance, reliability, security, and alignment with established engineering standards
- Provide technical guidance to other engineering team members through code reviews, pairing, implementation support, and technical clarification
- Work within established CI/CD practices to support reliable delivery of application changes
- Recommend improvements to application architecture, shared components, engineering patterns, testing practices, CI/CD reliability, and operational supportability
- Learn and apply business workflow knowledge to improve technical decisions and implementation quality
- Communicate technical risks, blockers, assumptions, dependencies, and tradeoffs clearly and proactively
- Produce clear technical documentation, implementation notes, support notes, and handoff details when appropriate
- Support production issue investigation, release validation, post-deployment verification, and remediation activities as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
