Qualification: B.Tech Chemical Engineering

Work Location: CRAMSN Research Park (R&D; Center), Pashamylaram, Patancheru, Hyderabad.

1. Process Feasibility & Optimization in R&D;:

- Collaborate closely with the R&D; team to assess the feasibility, safety, and scalability of chemical processes, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory objectives.
- Provide detailed technical inputs to enhance process robustness, scalability, and cost-effectiveness for seamless transition from lab to commercial scale.
- Conduct comprehensive process optimization initiatives to improve yield, quality, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
- Perform scale-up calculations, leverage PAT (Process Analytical Technology) tools, and analyze real-time process data for enhanced process understanding.
- Develop and maintain process engineering checklists based on lab experiments, ensuring accurate documentation of unit processes like reactions and unit operations such as filtration, distillation, and crystallization.
- Conduct extensive process engineering calculations, incorporating reasonable assumptions and justifiable basis for process development and scale-up.

2. Safety & Compliance from Process Development to Commercial Execution:

- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate process hazards, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory safety guidelines.
- Recommend process modifications, equipment design improvements, and safety measures to facilitate safe execution at the pilot plant and commercial scale.
- Lead process safety audits, including HAZOP, risk assessments, and process deviation analysis, implementing appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate actively in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) discussions to ensure comprehensive process safety evaluations and compliance with cGMP standards.

Technology Transfer & Documentation:

- Develop detailed process engineering (PE) packages, including process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID;), equipment suitability assessments, batch control templates (BCT), mass & material balance sheets, quantitative risk assessment (QRA) documents, and safety documentation.
- Conduct thorough review and validation of technology transfer documents, including tech packs, batch production records (BPR), and process validation protocols.
- Ensure seamless knowledge transfer from R&D; to manufacturing teams by supporting training sessions, documentation standardization, and process familiarization activities.

4. Batch Execution & Monitoring:

- Oversee batch execution at kilo-lab, pilot plant, and manufacturing facilities, ensuring facility preparedness, resource allocation, and adherence to defined process parameters.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Safety, Health & Setting (SHE), Regulatory Affairs (RA), and Finance for smooth and efficient execution.
- Submit detailed manufacturing updates to clients, actively lead discussions on progress, challenges, and solutions during telecoms and technical meetings.
- Take ownership of investigations related to process deviations, performing root cause analysis (RCA) supported by experimental evidence,



and developing effective corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
- Address process-related troubleshooting challenges, solvent recovery planning, waste minimization, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Conduct technical due diligence at vendor sites and support scale-up trials to ensure process robustness and supplier qualification.

5. Post-Batch Activities & Cost Optimization:

- Prepare detailed project closure reports and campaign reports, incorporating process learnings, deviations, and improvement recommendations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost improvement programs (CIP) to optimize raw material, solvent, and overall goods costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence and process efficiency improvements.

6. Process Engineering Input for Cost Estimation:

- Develop comprehensive process engineering input files (PEIF) and request for proposals (RFP), evaluating process feasibility, facility fitment, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Development and R&D; teams to provide precise cost estimations, production timelines, and process constraints for project feasibility assessments.
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluations to support strategic decision-making in new project acquisitions and capacity planning.

7. Continuous Process Improvement & Innovation:

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in chemical process engineering, new manufacturing technologies, and regulatory changes impacting CRDMO operations.
- Drive innovation by implementing green chemistry principles, process intensification techniques, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
- Actively contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, technical forums, and process enhancement programs to build organizational capabilities.
