Job Description QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Mobile Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright.
- Develop robust test automation frameworks using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test cases.
- Perform mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms.
- Automate web and mobile test scenarios to improve test coverage.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or Playwright API testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure application quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks and testing processes.

Required Skills





- Solid experience in Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience in Mobile Testing (Android and iOS).
- Knowledge of API testing and REST APIs.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Appium for mobile automation.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–8+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Testing.
