- Perform welding using processes such as SMAW, TIG, and/or MIG as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication instructions.
- Execute welding work on marine structures, doors, hatches, pipelines, and assemblies.
- Ensure weld quality as per WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting before welding.
- Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, slag inclusion, and rework if required.
- Maintain welding equipment, electrodes, and tools in positive working condition.
- Coordinate with fitters and fabrication teams for proper alignment and assembly.
- Follow all safety rules and use PPE (helmet, gloves, apron, goggles).
- Support quality inspection team during testing and certification.
- Maintain daily work output and report progress to supervisors.
