Position : Manager - Data Privacy

Location: Tirupur

Work Schedule: 6 Days Working (Monday Saturday)

Timings: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Mode: Work From Office (WFO)

Role Summary

Data Privacy manager shall lead the Data Privacy function of the Ramraj group of companies. The role will Design, implementation, and governance of Data privacy across the Ramraj Group of companies. This role will establish Data privacy policies, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, embed privacy-by-design across product and operations, and build a scalable privacy program that protects customer, employee, and partner data while enabling business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Privacy Strategy and Governance: Develop and maintain the Group companys privacy strategy, policies and standards aligned with Indian privacy frameworks.
- Program Buildout: Establish a centralized privacy program including Data inventories, Data flow mapping, DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments), retention schedules, and breach response procedures.
- Compliance and Legal Alignment: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; coordinate with legal counsel on regulatory changes, notices, and contractual privacy clauses.
- Privacy by Design: Partner with Retail, Ecommerce, Exports, Sourcing, Logistics, Marketing, HR, Legal, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, InfoSec functions to embed Data privacy controls into new features, Data pipelines, and Vendor integrations.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and remediate privacy risks; maintain a privacy risk register and report material risks to Senior leadership members.
- Vendor and Third-Party Management: Evaluate vendor privacy posture, negotiate data processing agreements,



and run periodic vendor privacy assessments.
- Incident Response and Reporting: Lead privacy incident investigations, coordinate cross-functional response, manage notifications, and implement corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness: Design and deliver privacy training for employees, run awareness campaigns, and provide role-based guidance to business teams.
- Data Subject Rights: Implement and manage processes to handle data subject access requests, corrections, portability, and deletion requests in a timely manner.
- Metrics and Continuous Improvement: Define Data privacy KPIs, monitor program health, and drive continuous improvement through audits and maturity assessments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Data privacy, data protection, or information security roles; at least 2+ years leading privacy programs in a consumer-facing or retail environment. Experience in implementation of ISMS ISO 27001 is preferable.
- Technical Understanding: Solid familiarity with Data lifecycle, cloud services, analytics platforms, CRM, Retail POS, Online Ecom systems and common data protection controls.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of Indian Data protection landscape and international frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent.




- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate privacy requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project Management: Experience running cross-functional projects and delivering program milestones on time.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

- Certifications: CIPP, CIPP/A, CIPM, CISSP, or equivalent privacy/security certifications.
- Tools: Experience with privacy management tools, DLP, consent management platforms, and data discovery solutions.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, pragmatic problem solving, and excellent written/verbal communication.
- Retail Domain: Prior exposure to retail fashion operations, ecommerce, loyalty programs, POS systems is an advantage.

KPIs and Success Metrics

- Program Maturity: Privacy program maturity score improvement over 12 months.
- Compliance: Percentage of business units with completed data inventories and DPIAs.
- Incident Metrics: Time to detect and remediate privacy incidents; number of reportable breaches.
- DSR Handling: Average turnaround time for data subject requests and compliance rate.
- Training Reach: Percentage of employees completing role-based privacy training.
- Vendor Coverage: % of critical vendors with signed data processing agreements and completed assessments.

Reporting Structure and Stakeholders

- Reports To: Group CITO
- Key Stakeholders: Legal, Info Sec, IT Software, IT Infrastructure, Marketing, HR Retail, Ecommerce, Exports, Sourcing, and external counsel / regulators.
