Education

- Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- Certification: Valid CITB / CISRS / STI Scaffolding Inspector Certification.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Inspect all scaffolding structures before use and conduct periodic inspections to ensure compliance with statutory, client, and project safety standards.
- Verify that scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities are carried out as per approved drawings, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ensure scaffolds are fitted with proper foundations, bracing, guardrails, toe boards, access ladders, working platforms, and fall protection systems.
- Issue, update, and manage Scafftag systems, ensuring only certified and safe scaffolds are released for use.
- Identify unsafe scaffold conditions, recommend corrective actions, and stop the use of non-compliant scaffolds until rectified.




- Conduct routine inspections of scaffolding materials, lifting accessories, and access systems to ensure their integrity and safe condition.
- Coordinate with scaffold supervisors, contractors, and site management to resolve inspection findings and maintain compliance.
- Participate in HIRA/JSA, toolbox talks, work-at-height assessments, and Permit to Work (PTW) activities related to scaffolding operations.
- Maintain scaffold inspection registers, certification records, Scafftag logs, and daily/weekly inspection reports.
- Promote protected scaffolding practices by ensuring compliance with CITB, CISRS, STI, OSHA, and applicable project safety standards.
