Role & responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre before surgical procedures.
- Ensure OT equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies are ready.
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection control practices.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and the surgical team during procedures.
- Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts before, during, and after surgery.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Handle, label, and dispatch surgical specimens as per protocol.
- Maintain accurate OT records and documentation.
- Ensure proper sterilization and safe handling of surgical instruments.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and support patient safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with CSSD, Biomedical,



and other departments for smooth OT functioning.
- Follow NABH guidelines and hospital policies

Preferred candidate profile

- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with a valid nursing qualification.
- Mandatory Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) Registration.
- 1 to 3 years of Operation Theatre (OT) experience in a multispeciality hospital.
- Knowledge of OT protocols, infection control, and sterile techniques.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and emergency duties.
- Positive communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
