This Position reports to: Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you supervise a shift teams progress against work plans as defined by Production management to ensure the proper use of machinery, equipment and assembly lines within a production area. Cooperate with the unit supervisor to create an effective work environment and reinforce production schedules and quality.

The work model for the role is: Li-Onsite.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Smart Building, Electrification Business in for Production Function in Nelamangala, Bangalore Region, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Shift Operations Monitoring Oversee and coordinate shift activities to ensure smooth execution of production plans, adherence to schedules, and optimal utilization of resources within the production lines.
- Team Coordination Workforce Management Support management in allocating tasks, managing staff movements during absences, machine breakdowns, or shifting priorities, and ensuring uninterrupted operations during the shift.
- Operational Excellence Performance Metrics Ensure focus on production volume, efficiency,



and on-time delivery while providing regular feedback and recommendations to management on production line organization and critical issues.
- Quality, Safety Cross-Functional Collaboration Lead shift teams in resolving technical, quality, and logistical challenges, ensuring strict compliance with health and safety policies and maintaining a secure working environment.

Qualifications for the role:

- Qualification: Diploma /BE - in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics engineering.
- Experience Range: 5-10 Years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Production Practices: Exposure to Production Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing concepts, and workplace efficiency.
- Planning Execution: Basic understanding of production planning, job allotment, and task scheduling.
- Resource Management: Ability to support effective utilization of manpower, machines, and materials on the shop floor.
- Workplace Discipline: Familiarity with safety practices and structured, process-driven production environments.
- Communication: Skilled written and verbal communication.
