Environmental Testing Manager

The Environmental Testing Manager/Supervisor is responsible for managing daily environmental testing operations, supervising lab technicians, and ensuring tests are conducted as per required standards, quality, and timelines. The role involves technical supervision, team management, customer coordination, and ensuring accurate and reliable test results related to environmental parameters.

1. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day environmental testing activities and ensure smooth lab operations.
- Plan and assign daily work schedules to technicians and monitor productivity.
- Ensure testing is conducted as per standards, customer requirements, and safety guidelines.
- Guide and train team members on testing procedures, equipment handling, and data recording.
- Monitor and review test results, reports, and documentation for accuracy.
- Support customers and internal teams with technical clarifications and updates.
- Troubleshoot testing issues and resolve operational challenges.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and upkeep of testing equipment.
- Maintain compliance with environmental testing standards and lab quality systems.




- Provide inputs for team performance evaluation and development.

2. Requirements
- Strong understanding of environmental testing processes (air, water, noise, vibration, or related testing).
- Ability to analyse test data and interpret results accurately.
- Good team management and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and compliance requirements.
- Good communication and MS Office skills.

3. Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5 8 years of experience in environmental testing or laboratory operations, preferably with team handling experience.

4. Work Setting
- Laboratory environment involving environmental testing equipment.
- May require handling samples, operating equipment, and standing for extended periods.
