The Admission Counsellor acts as the first point of contact for prospective students, driving enrolments by handling inquiries, explaining course details, and guiding applicants through the admission process.
This role requires high-volume of outbound calling, lead follow-ups, and building rapport to convert prospects into confirmed admissions to various universities and colleges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Calling: Make outbound calls to prospects from various sources, handle incoming queries regarding courses, fees, and eligibility criteria.
2. Counselling: Guide students on suitable courses based on their academic background and career goals/ career choices.
3. Admission Conversion: Follow up regularly with leads to close admissions and meet set targets.
4. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of calls, lead status, and student details in a CRM or database.
5. Coordination:
Coordinate with administrative and academic teams to process applications and schedule campus visits.
Required Skills:
1. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages.
2. Sales Acumen: Strong convincing and persuasion skills to achieve enrolment & admission targets.
3. Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel), E-mail, and CRM tools.
4. Interpersonal Skills: Patient, polite, and qualified demeanour to build trust with students and parents.
Qualifications:
1. Typically a Graduate in any discipline. (Post Graduation degree will be given preference)
2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in admission counselling will be preferred.
