We are looking for a CMM (Component Maintenance Manual) Author with 3 to 8 years of experience in aerospace technical publications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authoring standards, ability to interpret engineering data, and hands-on experience in preparing and updating CMM documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and update Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) as per customer and industry standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, service bulletins, and design data for creating accurate maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D where applicable.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and customer teams to resolve technical queries.
- Perform quality checks and peer reviews to maintain high documentation standards.
- Update existing manuals based on engineering changes, modifications, and customer feedback.
Requirements
- 38 years of experience in aerospace technical publications with focus on CMM authoring.
- Good understanding of ATA 100, iSpec 2200 and S1000D standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and technical data.
- Proficiency in authoring tools such as Arbortext Editor/FrameMaker, or SGML/XML-based tools.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Linguistic Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in English with professional-level proficiency in French.
