Role Purpose

The Regional Head Permits & Approvals will lead the end-to-end Permits and approvals of RE projects including regulatory compliance, grid integration approvals, and commissioning approvals activities for a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind, Hybrid, and BESS projects across multiple states in India.

The candidate shall be accountable for ensuring timely commissioning and Commercial Operation Date (COD) achievement by establishing robust approval governance, driving regulatory compliance, proactively mitigating risks arising from regulatory changes, and maintaining solid relationships with CTUIL, Grid India, RLDCs, SLDCs, STUs, DISCOMs, CEA, CEIG, State Authorities, and Renewable Energy Implementing Agencies.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop approval roadmaps / time lines aligned with project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with IEGC, CEA Regulations, CTUIL procedures, CERC/SERC regulations, Connectivity & GNA regulations and RLDC/SLDC requirements.
- Coordinate with CTUIL, STU,



State Nodal Agencies, RLDC, SLDC, CEA, CEIG, DISCOMs, REIAs and other government/statutory authorities.
- Secure approvals including SNA registrations ,metering schemes, PTCC clearance, Section 68/164 approvals, NOCs, energization approvals, FTC, trial run certificate, PPA compliance certificate and COD declaration.
- Drive approval readiness for commissioning in co-ordination with Engineering, Project Development, Land , SCADA, Business Development ,Asset Management, Contractor and Consultant teams.
- Monitor regulatory amendments, conduct impact assessments and implement mitigation plans.
- Maintain approval trackers, compliance registers, risk registers, dashboards and governance reports.
- Provide periodic MIS and proactively raise red flags to management to prevent schedule slippages.
- Ensure approvals are obtained within the budget
