Team Management:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance personnel (technicians, supervisors, and support staff).
- Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
- Organize training programs to enhance the skills of the maintenance team.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and production systems.
- Ensure the timely resolution of any breakdowns or faults that occur during production.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the department's maintenance budget.
- Ensure cost-effective operations by controlling maintenance expenses while maintaining a high standard of service.
- Negotiate with suppliers for spare parts, equipment, and service contracts.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to ensure safe working conditions.
- Lead emergency response drills and safety training.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce equipment downtime, and increase efficiency.
- Use predictive maintenance technologies to identify potential failures before they happen.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure machinery is optimized for operations.
Equipment Management:
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and manage ordering and storage.
- Oversee the installation of recent equipment and ensure smooth integration with existing systems.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Prepare reports for senior management on maintenance performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure the correct documentation for equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines.
Project Management:
- Lead or assist in the planning and execution of capital improvement projects related to equipment or infrastructure.
