Job Title: Civil Engineer (Battery Manufacturing Plant)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of civil infrastructure at our battery manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring that all civil structures, utilities, and site infrastructure remain in optimal condition to support uninterrupted factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:

- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for civil infrastructure including buildings, roads, drainage systems, water tanks, foundations, flooring, etc.
- Conduct routine inspections to assess structural health and initiate timely repair works.
- Supervise corrective maintenance activities for issues such as cracks, leakages, corrosion, settlement, and water seepage.

2. Facility Management:

- Coordinate with utility and facility teams for upkeep of drainage, plumbing, stormwater systems, and sewage treatment plants (STPs).
- Monitor the structural safety of production and warehouse buildings, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

3. Contractor & Vendor Management:

- Manage civil contractors for minor construction, repair, and renovation works.
- Review BOQs, work orders, and ensure quality assurance during civil works.
- Ensure timely delivery of work within allocated budget and schedule.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain logs of all maintenance activities, work permits, and inspection reports.
- Prepare reports on downtime, root cause analysis,



and preventive actions for civil issues.
- Assist in audit preparation related to safety, compliance, and ISO standards.

5. Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with factory safety regulations, HSE practices, and building codes.
- Liaise with safety officers to rectify any unsafe civil conditions and support emergency response infrastructure.

6. Coordination & Support:

- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and production departments during joint maintenance shutdowns.
- Support the installation of new production lines or equipment by ensuring suitable civil infrastructure readiness.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered)
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance or facilities management, preferably in manufacturing plants (battery, chemical, pharma, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of civil construction materials, repair techniques, and structural safety
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience with industrial safety standards and HSE compliance
- Good communication, team coordination, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in handling maintenance in hazardous or sensitive environments (e.g., battery manufacturing, chemical, or electronics industries)
- Knowledge of fireproofing, acid-resistant flooring, chemical spillage control methods
- Exposure to green building standards or energy-efficient infrastructure is a plusRole & responsibilities
