- Implement and monitor QMS within QC and relevant departments.
- Define and deploy QA/QC policies, procedures, and quality plans.
- Maintain master list of controlled documents (customer & internal).
- Ensure timely communication of non-conformances and document changes.
- Establish or modify systems to strengthen quality assurance.
2. QC Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day QC activities and allocate work among QC staff.
- Ensure preparation of rejection analysis, hold reports, quality issue reports, corrective action reports, and work instructions.
- Supervise incoming, in-process, layout, and dispatch inspections.
- Decide on hold materials and resolve quality-related disputes.
- Maintain documentation control and housekeeping within QC.
3. Measurement & Resource Control
- Ensure calibration and control of inspection, measuring & test equipment.
- Approve development of gauges and measuring tools as required.
- Maintain sample library and gauge control systems.
- Plan QC resource requirements based on cost-benefit analysis.
4. New Product & Continuous Improvement
- Establish quality plans for current products in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Qualify new tools and materials.
- Identify need for SPC/SQC implementation and train relevant personnel.
- Ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
5. Customer & Training
- Liaise with customers on quality assurance matters and handle complaints.
- Train Engineers, Inspectors, Operators, and Production staff on quality systems and product standards.
- Translate company quality policies into practical implementation.
6. Overall Accountability
- Overall responsibility for product quality.
- Ensure awareness and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong QMS and ISO/IATF experience background
- Good understanding and training taken on QC Core tools, 7 QC tools.
- Internal auditing for ISO9001/IATF16949
- Hands on experience for SPC, MSA, APQP, Customer Complaint handling, 4M change management, VDA 6.3, VSA
